Bright Angel Trail

Near the top

It took me about 4½ hours to hike up the Bright Angel Trail. I'd been expecting a peak experience, and wasn't disappointed. Trail miles are measured from the top, and from roughly mile 3 to mile 1, I was hot and sweaty - and so happy, just blissed out on endorphins.
